Role summary
Merck's Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics group seeks a co-op student for a 6-month position supporting oncology drug discovery. - Currently enrolled in Master's or Ph.D. program in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical biology, immunology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biology, data science, or related field
- Hands-on experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry and data analysis
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams
What you'll be doing
- Conduct in vitro assays to investigate biotransformation and catabolism of drug conjugates
- Analyze LC-HRMS data to identify and characterize drug conjugate catabolites
- Contribute to development of automated tools for data processing and reporting
- Prepare technical summaries and presentations of research findings
- Present project outcomes at the end-of-program symposium
